Kelsea Little has recently added to her family in the form of a super rad backing band! After much deliberation, the members came up with their own name, and so the group shall be henceforth known as “Kelsea Little and the 78s.” Here are the boys behind the rhythm section and harmonic magic:
JOSE GUERRERO
Drummer extraordinaire, Jose and Kelsea met at a concert at The Loft in San Diego, and realized they’d briefly known each other in high school, but not well as they’d been a few years apart. Kelsea told Jose she was making a record and needed a drummer to lay down some tracks and the rest is history. Jose’s “artist that made him want to play music” was Michael Jackson. His father has been a prominent DJ for many decades, and Jose delved into his vinyl collection at age eight. He started drumming at age eleven and has been playing ever since.
Jose’s desert island discs: Michael Jackson- Thriller, Justice- Cross, Copeland- Eat Sleep Reapeat, Underoath- They’re only chasing safety, Eminem- The Eminem Show.

MICHAEL PHILIP REED
Michael (or Mike, or Rad M’tad, etc. [he's got endless nicknames]) is one of those people born to play music. He dabbles (extremely well) in almost every instrument ever, but his specialties include guitar, bass guitar, keyboard and singing. In the past few years, he has spent time collaborating with multiple bands including The Smart Brothers, Steam Powered Giraffe and Your Mom, in which he plays music with his very talented mother Suzanne Shea Reed. Michael and Kelsea met in 2006 while he was playing with The Smart Brothers, and Kelsea was still a part of The Wrong Trousers. The two bands became friends and played many a show together, but both groups either fizzled out or changed forms. While recording Personal Myth, Kelsea needed a choir of people for the track “Go Team, Go!” and she invited Mike to come lend some sweet vox. In passing, she mentioned the need of a bass player and Mike was on board.
Michael has been playing music for most of his life. His mother has been a musician since the seventies. Mike grew up listening to folk and rock n’ roll artists from that era, including Joni Mitchell, Simon and Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac, etc. He has many other talents such as unicycling, juggling and various other circus skills, but his life is dedicated to music.
